Natuka alternatives: price, cat coverage and verifiable reviews (2026)

If you’re looking for alternatives to Natuka, it’s usually the price holding you back: its 900 g medallions now come out at €11-12/kg and the brand has raised its rates by around 11% since August. Its reputation, on the other hand, isn’t the problem: it can be checked (4.5/5 across 376 Trustpilot reviews as of 5 October 2026).

Natuka is, as we cover in our full review, one of the brands with the most structured raw BARF catalogue in the sector. The reason to look at alternatives is almost never product quality — it’s price or format.

Correction of 5 October 2026. In the August versions of this article we said Natuka had no active Trustpilot profile and that its reputation couldn’t be verified. That was our mistake: the profile existed, claimed since May 2024, and had reviews. We’ve rebuilt the article with the corrected data.

Why people look for Natuka alternatives

Three specific reasons, not generic dissatisfaction:

1. The small format is expensive. Its 900 g medallions come out at €11.00-11.78/kg (5 October 2026 prices, 11% higher than in August). The large format drops to €7.59-9.27/kg, but requires freezer space and buying ahead.
2. You want a larger review sample. Natuka has 376 Trustpilot reviews; Food for Joe has 1,182 and Dogfy Diet 12,430 (the latter with a paid subscription to the platform).
3. You want raw BARF but with more price transparency on the brand’s own site, or you’d rather switch to cooked food outright.

The quick read: on price alone, Natuka sits in the mid-to-upper band of the sector, level with Food for Joe and a little above Puromenú since its August increase. Where the pack genuinely splits is Guau&Cat, which plays in a different price band.

The alternatives, one by one

Guau&Cat — if you want price and verifiable reviews

Cooked and raw BARF, one-off purchase with no lock-in, and the lowest price per kilo in the sector by a wide margin. It also has 197 Trustpilot reviews at 4.5/5 (5 October 2026), the same score as Natuka on a smaller sample, and with a paid subscription to the platform.

Puromenú — the most direct raw BARF comparison

If you want to stay on raw food, Puromenú is the closest rival to Natuka: a wide BARF catalogue, multi-protein formats and pricing in a similar band (€7.13-10.61/kg). Like Natuka, it has a Trustpilot profile, though with a score (2.0/5 across 25 reviews) worth reading in context — we cover that in our Puromenú review.

Food for Joe — the solid-reputation option

Cooked only (no raw BARF range), but with the largest review sample in this comparison without a paid Trustpilot subscription: 1,182 reviews at 4.1/5. If what you want is a large sample of opinions, it’s the clearest alternative.

The trade-off: the price is similar to Natuka’s (€7.24-10.97/kg against €7.50-12.00/kg), so it isn’t an alternative for saving money. More detail in our Food for Joe review.

Dogfy Diet — if you’d rather have service than self-manage

No score is a guarantee — Trustpilot warns that it doesn’t check the content of reviews — and a large sample doesn’t guarantee a better brand.
